Stealth Boy location : Fallout: New Vegas

Stealth Boy location

Does anyone know how to get a stealth boy in Dead Money?
Preferably in the Sierra Madre because I can’t explore the villa again

Well, I got lucky once and found a stealth boy in a secret stash

I think there’s also one in the duffle bag next to Sinclair’s dead body, but I’m not so sure. According to the wiki this is the location of the duffle bag:
Right before you enter the vault door turn around and jump down to the pipes below the walkway, there is a duffel bag with the book inside. The only way back is to go east from the bag and jump on the valved pipe then back to main platform.

There’s no Stealth Boy in that bag – the only notable item there is a copy of Nikola Tesla and You.

Make sure you save before jumping down there – the geometry of the pipes going back to the platform makes it real easy to get stuck.

Dead Money: one can sometimes be found in an upstairs gun cabinet located in the SW corner of Puesta del Sol south, past the ruined cafe. Must pass through The Cloud to get there.

I’ve found 2. Do believe they were in Dean’s little stashes.

The are completely random in DM and I am starting to think their appearance is tied to your stats as even with high luck I sill average just over 20 most playthroughs in the Mojave. I’ve played DM twice with no Stealthboys in posted locations.Still got all the gold bars as my sneak skill was high an i did get alot of turbo’s , so try it anyways.

You can get alot of stealth boys from

Spoiler

The guy in the Legion safehouse. He’s there every few days.

My first playthrough I got zero stealth boys.

The second I get 3.

Funny huh? Its just random. I recommend trying to find a loadscreen near a dean stash and keep reloading outside to see what you get.

The villa clinic has one right by a doorway to the left. Before you enter the clinic save and keep reloading till you get the stealth boy. Hopefully.

Thanks I know. But I just can’t get into the Legion story wise and their quests are so few and limited imho. They have two of the best things I want. The lucky shades and unlimited stealthboys. I tried the NCR emergency resupply radio alot and I have yet to see a single stealthboy. I might find a bunch at one place with a character and then find zilch another time around with someone else. Still not enough for me to be happy.

Can you do enough stuff with the Legion to get the safe house key without breaking any other story lines? I tried upping my rep with stealth NCR kills and turning in the dog tags at Cottonwood Cove but I never seem to get enough to get the key or not patient enough. Caesar’s first quest right out the gate is murder House. Kinda harsh. Plus siding with the legion really curbs your companion selection.

Playing the Legion is really fun escpecially as a melee/ unarmed survivalist. You should try it. Starts off a bit slow in terms of perks and such but at higher levels it’s just so fun.

I think you get the key right after

Spoiler

Siding the boomers with them.

Nightkin seem to always have one aswell, try killing those

Thanx for the tip. Nightkin seem to have a lesser chance of stealthboys since the patch for me. They seem to always drop them when I first started playing now its like 1 in 4.

I have been on a hiatus till they release more DLC. I was starting to burn out. I do lots of saves so I can go back and switch story lines so maybe someday I will give the Legion some love.
